FWW Community Guidelines

Future Work World is an exclusive and exciting peer-to-peer collaborative community where business leaders can explore, learn and exchange ideas and designs for the future of work.

The Fundamentals

It’s Private. We do not permit community members to print, copy, distribute, or otherwise make internal use of messages posted via the community.

We’re inclusive. This is a mutual support group for the FWW sector – a space to discuss our work and generally share ideas, knowledge, and resources.

Talk to us. We welcome messages about any issues you may have, as well as suggestions on how to improve our community. We will be monitoring posts, but we may miss something. We encourage members to flag content which they feel violates any of the above community rules so that we can review and take appropriate action.

Getting started

Identify yourself. When joining the community, please add your title and organisation so that others may identify you. Others may also identify you more easily if you add your expertise.

Connect. We encourage you to see our community as yours too. You are encouraged to connect and interact with each other. Feel free to message other members and comment on others’ posts.

Create. We are happy to see you create content and tag people so that others can easily find them.

Mobile app. Use the mobile app for the best user experience. You can find the app download link at the bottom of the page.

Groups. Should you like to form your own small groups to discuss or share ideas, please inform the admin.

Debates. Healthy debates are natural, but please uphold respect for others and remain civil.

Stay on topic. Comments, questions and contributions should be relevant to the topic being discussed. Keep in mind that this is not a place for unsolicited personal/commercial solicitation or advertising (e.g. “Win a free laptop”, etc.)

Some reminders

It’s your opinion. The views and opinions expressed here do not necessarily reflect the views and opinions of FWW or its partners. Please remember that any comments or content you share on this site are your sole responsibility.

Be civil. The community encourages open and candid discussions and debates. However, all communication should be respectful. Differences of opinion are okay; personal attacks are not. Content or comments that are violent, threatening, abusive, sexually explicit, obscene, offensive, hateful, derogatory, defamatory, or are racially, ethnically, or otherwise objectionable, will be removed.

Conduct by any user that, at the sole discretion of FWW, restricts or inhibits any other user from using or enjoying it will not be permitted on any of the services.

Respect privacy. Do not post personal or any other information that you do not want made public and respect the privacy of other members and FWW employees. Do not share with any third party the names, e-mail addresses, or any other personally identifiable information of participants.

User content. This refers to material which community members upload, comments they post, or other content that members provide. Conduct by any user that, at the sole discretion of FWW, restricts or inhibits any other user from using or enjoying it will not be permitted on any of the services controlled by FWW.

Unacceptable content. FWW reserves the right (but assumes no obligation) to delete, move, or edit any user content that it considers unacceptable or inappropriate, whether for legal or other reasons, on any of the sites controlled by FWW.

Advertisements. Do not send any “commercial” messages, such as unsolicited advertising, promotional materials, or any other form of solicitation for – or endorsement of – particular vendors, or their products/services.

Do not share inappropriate content. If a user uploads inappropriate, pornographic, offensive, or otherwise objectionable content to the sites, the user may be banned from the community. We may also edit or entirely remove such posts from any of the services it controls.

No spam. No one likes seeing the same message posted to one or many articles, galleries, or discussions.

Change of roles. Creating multiple accounts in the community is discouraged. If you change institutions, or place of work, please update your existing account instead of creating a new one.

Revoke access. FWW reserves the right to refuse access to the service under its control or revoke community membership to any user for any reason, including, without limitation, a reasonable belief that the user in question has violated these rules, the Terms of Service or any of the copyright or trademark laws.

Technical safety. Do not knowingly send any message that contains software viruses or any other computer code, files or programs that interrupt, destroy or limit the functionality of the community or any computer hardware, software, or networks connected to it, or which otherwise disrupt the normal flow of communication in the community.

Keep it legal. Participating in, suggesting, or encouraging any illegal activity is cause for immediate removal and termination of a member’s use of, and registration in, the community.

Observe copyright and trademark law. The posting of copyrighted videos, photos, articles, or other material beyond what is protected as fair use, is prohibited. We may remove such posts from any of our sites. Do not pass off someone else’s trademark as your own.

Business legalities. Use caution when discussing potential business opportunities, strategic business plans, potential business “partners”, and specific products or services. Information shared on the community should be assumed to be available for anyone to see, and your statements are subject to applicable laws including libel, slander, and other laws.
